Dave Phillips

Dave’s goal is to have the most positive impact that he can have on the lives of the people he works with, helping them become the healthiest, happiest version of themselves. He is a Signal Mountain native and has been a trainer at SMAC for over 15 years. People can feel his energy and enthusiasm radiating throughout the gym from well before sun up, to the time the sun goes down. Dave makes the most out of every day and pushes people to find their limits. He excels in weight lifting, high intensity training, and beer drinking. Saun Whittenburg

Saun’s positive energy and encouraging spirit, along with her ability to create client specific programs, are what make her a great trainer. Her client base is diverse. She has experience working with people from the age of 12 to 81 with various needs including weight loss, strength building, balance, and cardiovascular endurance. She is ISSA Certified in Personal Training as well as in Fitness Nutrition. Her love of food led her to create “Saun’s Recipes for Life”, a Facebook page directed at presenting nutritious menu ideas that taste great. She also has a personal training page, “Training by Saun”, where clients can find her class schedules for the week, client spotlights and motivational quotes. Outside of the gym, she’s an avid runner who loves to travel, having competed in over 12 Half Marathons and multiple 10Ks and 5Ks across the Southeastern US. Tommy Lewis

Meet Tommy Lewis. Tommy holds 3 training certifications including I.S.S.A. (International Sports Science Administration), Personal Training certification, and the I.S.S.A. Sports Nutrition Specialist. He has 17 years experience in teaching boxing / kickboxing techniques and also teaches self-defense techniques. Tommy specializes in body fat reduction, dietary counseling, total body conditioning and muscle/joint rehabilitation. Shannon Wyke

Meet Shannon, the husband to Victoria and father to Carilyne and Macy Wyke. He is a sports enthusiast who loves to watch and compete at anything sports related. Shannon values all of the life lessons one learns through sport. Training is exciting to him because it doesn’t feel like work at all. He loves to show other people that there is nothing they cannot achieve- Physically or Mentally!

Eden Lusk

Eden’s passion for health and wellness has helped her fuel her excitement to help others unlock their hidden potential. She is an A.C.E. certified personal trainer, certified Health Coach & Fitness Nutrition Specialist. Eden has completed several triathlons including Ironman Chattanooga and is an Ironman Bronze All World Athlete. She has been a Signal Mountain resident for 17 years, along with her husband Warren and 2 boys, Anderson and Pearce. For more information:

SMAC FIT

The Mix

The Mix is a 45 minute full body workout followed by 15 minutes of stretching and mobility. Each week is different to incorporate bands, dumbbells, kettlebells, yoga balls, barbells, and bosu balls. We do large amounts of bodyweight excercises and get in plenty of core work. Classes for The Mix are $10 per class and it is an extremely welcoming class ranging in age and ability. Saun always makes sure to create scaled options for physical limitations while keeping it equally challenging.

SMAC also offers classes that are free of charge and available for members throughout the day.

Echelon Bikes
Choose from over a dozen live classes daily, and thousands of on-demand classes. All you need are your Bluetooth earbuds, and you are ready to ride.

Echelon Reflect Mirrors
Choose from thousands of live and on-demand classes: cardio, strength, yoga, boxing, pilates, barre, zumba, and more. All you need are your Bluetooth earbuds, and you are ready to workout.

Ladies Only Fitness Room
If your preference is to work out without the guys, we have the space for you.  All day and at any time, you can go to the “ladies only” room where you will get a complete cardio and strength-training workout in just 30 minutes. The circuit consists of resistance machines (no free-weights to deal with) that target every major muscle group, two muscles at a time.
